Rocalia welcomed you in 2019 for its second edition and we are proud to have seen so many of you at Eurexpo. Rocalia and Paysalia were a real success with an increase in visitors of + 13.2% compared to 2017. The figures therefore confirm that Rocalia is positioning itself as the benchmark fair for natural stone. Between events, conferences, technical visit ... The program was very dense and allowed all professionals to discover the latest innovations in the natural stone sector.

The stone jobs are revealing talents
Welcome behind the scenes of Rocalia 2019 where the FFPPS and its partners met, before the show, to create a dry stone work on the Rocalia Talents Demonstration area: the Snake Project.
The recipe for this work? The meeting between engraving, sculpture, carving and dry stone construction.
During this time, Les Compagnons du Devoir set to work on a piece of natural stone: the Acoustic Shell. A true work of stereotomy, this project was exhibited at the Rocalia Forum to host the various conferences.
It enabled two complementary industries to meet: mineral and vegetable.
Record figures for the second edition of the natural stone fair
For its new edition, Rocalia experienced record attendance: no less than 29,912 visitors paraded through the aisles of Eurexpo to attend the Rocalia fair and the Paysalia fair.

A dense and varied conference program on the Rocalia Forum
Natural stone professionals had an appointment at the Rocalia Forum: a place enriching exchanges and sharing. Thus, 423 participants gathered around the 13 conferences that were offered during the 3 days of the fair. Various themes were addressed: BIM, stereotomy, design, environment, enhancement of natural stone ...

The INPI certifies the Pierres Marbrières' authentic and local know-how
During this 2019 edition, Rocalia had the immense honor of hosting the official presentation of the Geographical Indication "pierres marbrières de Rhône-Alpes" which was delivered to the Rhônapi association.
It was the meeting of the natural stone industry not to be missed. The INPI “Rhône-Alpes marble stones” certifies the quality and origin of the products.
Training highlighted at the Rocalia fair
Rocalia 2019 was also an opportunity to focus on training. Thus, the Rocalia Forum hosted the graduation of the BP Métiers de la Pierre (CFA of Montalieu).
The meeting between architecture and natural stone at the Rocalia fair
This year, we were able to attend the Prize-giving of the 5th architectural competition "Building in natural stone" organized by Pierre Actual and the National Syndicate of Ornamental Rock and Construction Industries (SNROC). It was therefore an opportunity to discover natural stone works that were made in France.

Rocalia Design Expo: design invites itself to the Rocalia fair
The Rocalia 2019 show was able to honor the design of natural stone through different approaches: furniture, decoration, wall and floor covering. Visitors were thus able to discover different pieces of design produced by our exhibitors by visiting the Rocalia Design Expo area. These pieces were selected by the Design Committee of the show which highlights the know-how of the designers and the nobility of natural stone.
"SEPT" de table: a table made with regional natural stones
The Rocalia 2019 fair was also able to make an impression by presenting a unique architectural work: the "SEPT de table". This table was designed by Elisabeth Polzella, architect DPLG, and made using regional natural stones by members of Rhônapi Rhône-Alpes Auvergne Pierres Naturelles.
