A pristine masterpiece rising from the rubble of constraints
This impressive new agora right in the heart of the historic town, finds a middle ground amongst the environmental, structural, patrimonial and commercial challenges. A truly elegant rustic palace, with arches, fixtures and lines that set off the Euville stone. It is a remarkable achievement and so is the design. No wonder the Jury was unanimous in its choice of this year's Grand Prize.

A subtle expression of the solidness of natural stone
The site is a source of pride as it is a former quarry, but in addition, the project meets the standards of very high quality stone architecture with pertinence and finesse. Each stone, chosen with wisdom and intelligence, is an expression of wonder and assertiveness. The interior and exterior spaces have the effective simplicity of the stone that shares its name with the village.

A leading monument in the use of natural stone
The Vers-Pont-du-Gard stone found new self-expression through skilful composition and interlocking volumes, while enhancing each of the elements in the project. The use of natural stone is both humble and highly expressive, with core samples used as an artisanal prototype for the moucharabieh on the façades of the edifice at the town entrance.

Natural stone as a way to dismantle the classic idea of a car park
This new kind of car park is designed around natural elements, takes account of existing nature and enhances it with a circular enclosure in solid stone, which is both structural and functional. Here, natural stone is a means of separating without excluding, partitioning without closing and dividing without rejecting. The structure has a fluidity that makes it ready for new, post-motorised uses

THE GORGES DU GARDON RESILIENCE OBSERVATORY
Frugality is the power serving the biosphere reserve
An archaic form linked to ancestral know-how for timeless integration in the midst of the scrubland. The power of resilience is effectively expressed by this simple structure, anchored in the landscape by the local dry stone wall-builders from the Antiquailles quarry. A resilient, enduring observatory, built like a beacon ready to withstand the ravages of time as the environment changes.

THE ALAIN MIMOUN SPORTS COMPLEX IN ISSY-LES-MOULINEAUX
A radical renovation with a whole new approach to the use of structural stone
This project, for which Massangis stone is used to recreate a dilapidated sports complex in the Paris region, is outstanding because of its highly technical nature and the virtuosity of the engineering rolled out to meet the challenges of a façade that is simple in appearance. An exemplary performance that impressed the Jury with its boldness and innovative influence.
